Manufacturing/ Engineering and Mining
We worked with a Manufacturing/Engineering and Mining company where we used Zoho CRM, Zoho campaigns, Zoho Sales IQ, Zoho Pagesense, Zoho Inventory to help the company scale their operations as they needed a solution which manages customers, leads and a data management tool to automate the whole business process.
Manufacturing and Engineering currently contributes to approximately six percent of Australia’s gross domestic product. The following company is a manufacturing and engineering company based in Western Australia servicing the mining industry. The company manufactured air pollution management systems, fuel delivery pipelines including system design and installation.
The following challenges were being faced by the company
- The company initially never used a CRM and engaged with multiple stakeholders using multiple tools xero quoting tool, cad drawing tool, maintenance management tool not linked to sales system.
- Any products sold issues were only documented in emails
- All maintenance schedules were all in excel gantt charts
- All communications to individual stakeholders was via multiple different emails but not traceable in one place
- Stock levels were managed in spread sheets
- Newsletters were sent using a third party system not linked to a CRM System
- All interaction data was initially managed on local systems such as outlook and spreadsheets.
We recommended and implemented for the Engineering company the below solutions
- Zoho CRM – a one stop shop repository for all customers, vendors, products, invoices, purchase orders data. This was also linked to the engineering tool CAD where designs were done thus allowing each deals progress to be viewed in detail.
- Zoho Inventory – This system was utlised to manage inventory with the use of a barcode scanner thus live stock levels – This allowed for staff in the front office/administration to give stock queries quicker reponses.
- Zoho Field Service Management – This tool was used for their staff who conduct site visits to develop a maintenance schedule from the time a product is sold and all maintenance notes managed in the application.
- Zoho Desk – All clients were given exclusive access to a ticketing system which allowed for them to raise issue tickets for items that had warranty issues or product related issues this was then automatically linked to Zoho CRM and they could do analytics on issues. Clients then got automatic updates on progress of issues raised.
- Zoho Sales IQ – This was introduced as a new function to the client allowing them to generate leads and talk to visitors on their website.
- SMS Magic – This was utilised to provide live updates for maintenance related progress as data was entered in the FSM Tool, CRM and Zoho Desk.
